PoliciesPet care policies

  • We must be advised if any of your pets has a history of biting or aggression toward either humans or other animals.

  • Please provide the contact information for your veterinarian. You will be asked to sign a release authorizing medical care for your pets in your absence in an emergency.

  • We request that you provide adequate plastic bags or other equivalent disposal method for pet waste and indicate where you would like the waste disposed.

  • Paws at Home LLC will clean up any messes in your house left by your pets to the best of our ability. We request that you inform us of the location(s) of any necessary cleaning supplies. If there are accidents above and beyond the normal amount anticipated, we will charge a reasonable fee for clean-up time.

  • We do not "exclude" pets. If they are in the house, they are under our care.

  • Animal behavior can be unpredictable. Paws at Home LLC does not accept responsibility or liability for animal behavior, normal or otherwise, which results in injury to the client's animals. Additionally, if a Paws at Home employee is injured or harmed by the client's animals, the client/owner accepts full responsibility for the cost of any necessary medical attention required by either the Paws at Home employee or by the animals.

  • We do not walk multiple dogs together unless it is requested by the owner. We understand that the owner or a neighbor in the building or area may want his/her dog to mingle with a friend he/she knows. This arrangement will need to be agreed upon by all owners involved.

  • We do not allow dogs off-leash for any reason unless they are in their own fenced-in yard. If an invisible fence system is in use, we must have a guarantee that it is indeed functioning. Paws at Home LLC does not accept responsibility for any animals that escape or become lost or injured when instructed to leave the pet(s) in a fenced in area.

  • Due to possible power outages or garage door malfunctions, we recommend that house keys be provided.

  • Each referral you provide that books initial service with us earns $5 to your account.

  • We must be advised of anyone who may also have access to your home. If we arrive and find anything out of place or find a stranger in your home, we will call the police first and ask questions later.

  • Paws at Home LLC in-home pet care services are offered 7 days a week from 7:00am to 7:00pm. Additional hours of service can be negotiated.

  • If a specific visit time is requested, we will do our best to arrive as close as possible to the specified time. However, if we are caring for multiple pets, we may need to shift your time to accommodate everyone that day.

  • Paws at Home LLC requires all visits to be paid within 30 days of receiving your invoice using cash or check. Please make all checks out to "Paws at Home LLC". A $15 fee will be added to each invoice upon the date of Past Due and $15 for each additional 30 days Past Due after that.

  • Paws at Home LLC charges a $25 fee for any returned checks.

  • Paws at Home LLC will purchase pet food, litter, cleaning supplies or any other necessary items that contribute to your pets' overall health and well being while you are away if necessary or requested. We will retain a receipt for any items purchased. You will be responsible for reimbursement of these items as well as the cost of one (1) regular visit.

  • It is recommended that holiday visits be booked at least 6 weeks ahead of time.

  • Due to high demand during holidays, you will be charged for 100% of contracted services for cancellations within 2 weeks of holiday visits.  Please understand that in-home pet care and kennels receive more requests for reservations than they can handle during holiday time. We may have turned away other clients because we have reserved time for you during a busy season.

  • In the event you must cancel a scheduled visit, please call us immediately. With more than 72-hour notice, you will not be charged. With less than 72-hour notice, you will be charged for 100% of contracted services.

  • When faced with inclement weather, Paws at Home LLC requests the name and phone number of a nearby person you trust that has access to your home. If we are physically unable to reach your home due to unfavorable weather conditions, we will contact this local person to request assistance. We will immediately notify you if such a situation should arise.

  • In the unlikely event of a household emergency (leaking water heater, malfunctioning heating and air units, etc), Paws at Home LLC requests that you leave the name and number of a trusted maintenance company or a designated local person who can attend to such matters.

  • Privacy policy: All of your information will be kept private and confidential. Paws at Home LLC will never sell or otherwise give out any client's information.
